WHOLE LOTTA LED
Better Than Ever

On Saturday 6th October 2001 I went to Stanton Village Club with Dave Smith and his neighbor Simon to see once again the Led Zeppelin Tribute Band WHOLE LOTTA LED. Although I thought I would not go to another one of their gigs after the one on the 20th December 2000, I found myself in need of a live gig as the year had been lean compared to the previous year.

By mid way through the first set my faith in this band had been fully restored as LEE had stopped waving his arms about and stopped swearing. When they performed MOBY DICK I was amazed to see that GRAHAM did not use his drum sticks for part of the tune, in other lyrics, he was using his hands.

During the interval I had to kick them out of their changing room as they were using the disabled rest room (sorry lads!).

By the end of the evening I thought they were "Better Than Ever", so much so that I nearly went over to Stroud the following week to see them again!!!.
